Do you have to go to a prestigious University to be a financial adviser at Merrill Lynch?

Can I go straight to university if i want to become a pharmacist?

Is that alright? I read somewhere that you have to take 2 years of college and 4 years of something else or omsehint but my mom told me after university i just need to take a few more years of some other thing. Which is it? Any pharmacist out there to give me advice?
Is it alright to go to UC Berkley? Cuase I’v always wanted to go there. Thank you.
