The University I attend has a good program for my major but lately I’ve been considering transferring to another school.

The University I am considering also has a good(no better or worse than my current univer.) program for my major but is more renown than the school I attend now. It would also cost a good deal more than the school I attend now.

I’m just wondering how important is the name of the school you receive your diploma from? How does it affect future career goals?

Point is, is Penn considered a prestigious and well regarded university worldwide? Is it internationally recognized as a top school like Oxford, Harvard and Yale?
